Paint correction focuses on clear coat rather than the actual layer of paint. When damage goes beyond the clear and physically removes paint, it typically requires a different process. i.e paintless dent removal, rock chip repair, qualified body shop.

The main cause of these is from automatic car washes that use rolling bristles. They remove dirt from hundreds of cars and slap those dirty abrasive bristles all over your sensitive paint. If you use an auto wash, use the touchless option.
If you maintain your vehicle at home, improper washing technique can also be a culprit.
